Artone Studio vs Glow Team: Which Design Partner Fits AI and SaaS Startups Best

Artone Studio vs Glow Team: clear comparison of retainer pricing, delivery speed, and which design partner fits early-stage AI and SaaS startups.

For early-stage AI and SaaS founders, Artone Studio is the better fit: you get a product-minded design and build team across product, web, brand, development, and motion at $5,000/month with no minimum term, while Glow Team suits funded product teams that want a dedicated product design squad and can commit to $12,000/month for at least three months.

TL;DR

Artone Studio is a design and build partner for technology companies, run on a flat $5,000/month retainer or custom projects from a $2,000 minimum. Glow Team is a product design agency for SaaS and AI companies that sells a $12,500 four-week MVP, a $12,000/month Design Retainer with a three-month minimum, and Enterprise capacity from $20,000/month. Both teams focus on AI and SaaS products, and both offer fixed pricing instead of hourly billing. The difference is shape and cost. Glow puts a project manager, a design lead, and a senior product designer on your product. We put Razvan on your product as a product partner, with our team covering product, web, brand, development, and motion, and you can cancel anytime. If you are pre-seed to Series A and need range and judgment on a startup budget, Artone is the stronger choice.

What each studio is

Glow Team describes itself as a product design partner for growing SaaS and AI companies. It works with founders, startups, and scaling product teams on UX for activation, retention, and growth. Its services cover web design, mobile app design, UX research, landing pages, branding, design systems, a UI/UX audit, and development work around MVPs. Glow was co-founded by Stas Kovalsky and Ruslan Mashatov. Its team page shows growth from 3 people in 2019 to 21 people today. The company is registered in Delaware.

Artone Studio is a design and build partner for technology companies. We cover five areas through one partnership: product design, web design, brand identity, development, and motion design. Razvan Badea leads every engagement personally. He joins product calls, helps decide what to build, writes the briefs our team works from, and reviews every deliverable before it ships. You get product thinking and a full design and build team in one.

Pricing and value

Glow publishes four ways to work:

  • MVP: $12,500 fixed, four weeks, one platform, 50% upfront. It ends with a working build, plus a developer review of architecture, security, and scale. An optional Discovery Week costs $3,500 and is credited toward the MVP if you start within 30 days.
  • Design Retainer: $12,000/month with a three-month minimum, then cancel with 30 days' notice. Six-month terms drop to $11,400/month and 12-month terms to $11,160/month. The MVP fee is credited toward the first retainer month.
  • Enterprise: from $20,000/month, scoped after a call.
  • Fixed Scope: one defined problem at a fixed price, quoted per project.

Glow also lists two fixed-price follow-ups for products already built with AI coding tools: "Slop Fix" for design and UX, and Production-Ready Development for rewriting the code, each from $5,000.

Our retainer is $5,000/month. There is no minimum term. You can pause once per 30-day cycle and cancel anytime, and if the partnership is not a fit in the first week, we refund 75%. There is no cap on revision rounds. For a single defined outcome, we run custom-scoped projects from a $2,000 minimum, paid 50/25/25 at kickoff, midpoint, and final delivery.

The honest math: Glow's minimum retainer commitment is $36,000 over three months. Our retainer costs $15,000 over the same three months, and you can stop after one. What Glow's price buys is a dedicated three-person design squad. What ours buys is a product partner plus a team that also designs your brand, builds your site in Framer, and cuts your launch video. If you want to talk through which model fits your stage, book a call with us.

Delivery and speed

Glow runs weekly design sprints with a weekly sync and updates every two days in between. Its MVP follows a set four-week plan: discovery and structure in week one, design and build in weeks two and three, and a developer review and handoff in week four. You choose at kickoff between a faster "vibe-first" route built directly in AI coding tools or a "Figma-first" route for complex products. Glow also offers a free three-day trial on one real screen from your product, with no card and no contract.

At Artone, you get design updates every other business day, and an upfront timeline with milestones for larger work. On the retainer, the month can move from product screens to a launch site to a pitch deck without a new contract. Speed comes from a tight workflow and clear priorities. The taste and product judgment are still ours.

We do not run a free trial. Our first-week 75% refund is how we lower the risk of starting.

Services and capabilities

Glow's depth is product design. Its retainer delivers dev-ready Figma files with specs and components and a design system maintained as the product grows. It highlights AI product UX in particular, such as agent interfaces, LLM interfaces, and how to show confidence levels or let users correct AI outputs. Branding, web design, and landing pages are listed as well. Motion design and launch videos are not listed on its site.

We cover five areas: product design (web and mobile apps, design systems, prototypes, UI/UX audits), web design (landing pages, multi-page sites, Framer development), brand identity (guidelines, logos, pitch decks), development (Framer builds, front-end, full-stack MVPs, and cleanup of MVPs built with AI tools), and motion design (launch videos, logo reveals, product animations). Switching discipline between tasks is included in the retainer.

Collaboration

Glow's retainer gives you a dedicated project manager as your single point of contact, a design lead who owns quality and product direction, and a senior product designer working full-time on your product. Communication runs through a weekly sync and async Slack, and Glow says you talk to the designer directly. Onboarding starts with a week mapping your product, users, and metrics, and ends with a prioritized backlog. Glow states that you own all files, source, and the design system from day one.

We run every engagement through a dedicated Slack Connect channel, with optional weekly strategy calls. Briefs can be docs, Looms, messages, or rough notes. You work directly with Razvan, with no account-manager layer in between. All files, assets, code, and Framer sites transfer fully to you, and we sign a standard two-year NDA when you need one.

Clients, credibility, and recognition

Glow says the founders it designs for have raised $1B+ combined, across 60+ founders, including two Fortune 500 companies under NDA. Named clients on its site include Lendflow (YC W21), JUCR, Dropcall, CryptoGenie, and Bookme. Its case studies cite Dropcall reaching 10,000 users in two days after launch. Glow lists recognition from CSS Design Awards, Netty Awards, Behance, UX Design Awards, and Clutch. These are Glow's own published figures.

Artone has designed professionally since 2016, with 80+ projects across AI, B2B SaaS, fintech, and more, and $1B+ in combined valuation of the companies we have designed for. Two out of three clients return. Public case work on our site includes Open.cx, Sero, Alkera AI, and Methods. We are an official Framer Expert, and our work has been featured by Awwwards and Framer.

When Artone is the better fit

  • You are pre-seed to Series A and $12,000/month with a three-month minimum does not fit your runway.
  • You want a product partner who helps decide what to build, not only a design squad working through a backlog.
  • Your needs span product screens, a launch site, a brand refresh, and a launch video, and you want one team for all of it.
  • You want to start for a month, pause, and come back next quarter without notice periods.
  • You need a defined project done for less than $12,500, such as a landing page or a brand identity sprint.
  • You want Framer development and full site ownership included in how the partnership runs.

When Glow Team is a good fit

  • You are a funded team past MVP with a steady product roadmap and want a full-time senior product designer plus a design lead on it.
  • Your main work is product UX inside a complex app, measured against activation, retention, and conversion.
  • You want to try the team on a real screen for free before committing.
  • You want a fixed four-week MVP with a working build and a developer review at the end.
  • You prefer a project manager as your main point of contact.

Final take

Glow Team is a credible option for funded SaaS and AI teams that want a dedicated product design squad and can commit to $36,000 or more over three months. If you are an early-stage founder who needs product judgment, range across design, build, brand, and motion, and the freedom to cancel anytime, Artone is the better partner at less than half the monthly price. The first step is a short call, and you can book one with us here.
