Zenspun: A concept app reimagining therapy for Romania’s Gen Z
Zenspun is a mental wellness app concept designed for Romania’s Gen Z audience, a group underserved by traditional therapy platforms. We built it as an internal sprint project, not for a client, but to demonstrate how we approach product strategy and design when starting from zero. The goal was to showcase what a culturally relevant, mobile-first therapy experience could look like when crafted with empathy, clarity, and strategic thinking.
The challenge
Most mental health apps feel overly clinical or too generic, especially for Gen Z. In Romania, the gap is even wider: young people seeking accessible support don’t have tools designed for their cultural context, daily habits, or emotional needs. We saw an opportunity to imagine what a therapy app could look like if it were built specifically for this audience: engaging, safe, and local.
Our process
We ran a focused three-day sprint to take the idea from a blank page to a polished, interactive prototype. In that time, we shaped the product direction, mapped out the UX flows, designed the full UI, and built a clickable prototype.
The experience covered the entire user journey, including onboarding, freemium vs. premium flows, a home dashboard, meditation browsing, social media feed, and a psychologist marketplace. Visually, we leaned into soft, playful elements that resonate with Gen Z while keeping usability and clarity at the center. Every decision was made to feel approachable, culturally relevant, and ready for testing with real users or presenting to investors.
The outcome
The result is a mobile experience that feels both credible and engaging, standing apart from the one-size-fits-all wellness apps currently in the market. More importantly, it shows how quickly we can move from an idea to something tangible and investor-ready.
Zenspun is proof of how we work: spotting opportunities founders often miss, validating ideas fast, and designing with both empathy and business outcomes in mind. Even as a concept, it reflects the kind of clarity and momentum we help startups create when turning visions into real products.
